Health & Safety
Ready to Welcome You Back
As PACK EXPO East producer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, leads the way in bringing the industry together again, its top priority remains the health and safety of all those on-site at our events. In addition to following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and all federal, state and local directives, PMMI is continuing to develop and implement thorough and up-to-date protocols for a safe and successful event.
In line with an active mask mandate issued by the city of Philadelphia on August 12, 2021, all show participants will be required to wear a face mask/covering indoors at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, regardless of vaccination status. Show Management will continue to monitor any updates from our partners at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and update show participants accordingly. Failure to adhere to the health and safety measures may result in prohibiting entry to show or removal from the show.
PACK Ready is our health and safety commitment to you. Information and guidelines are ever-changing and PMMI is committed to updating our approach based on current government regulations and industry standards.
Within registration, all attendees, exhibitors, vendors and staff are asked to commit to completing a self-screening daily prior to entering the venue. You can find the self-screening questions here.
The Pennsylvania Convention Center (PCC) has achieved the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation on outbreak prevention, response and recovery—recognized as the gold standard. The PCC is one of the largest venues in the northeast to receive the GBAC STAR™ accreditation.
Philadelphia hotels, attractions, restaurants, shops, and businesses, along with the Pennsylvania Convention Center and the Philadelphia International Airport, are preparing for your visit by taking the PHL Hospitality Health Pledge, committing to implementing standards recommended by national, state, and city guidelines.
Please be aware that many of the restaurants in Philadelphia are currently requiring diners to provide proof of vaccination. A current list as of September 2021 can be found here.
PMMI will keep all of exhibitors, attendees, staff and vendors apprised of any new developments to ensure a coordinated effort and a safe environment for all.
