- You provide PMMI unambiguous, explicit consent to do so for a specific purpose; or
- We need to process your data to comply with a legal obligation.

How we share information we collect
PMMI’s purpose is to unite the industry across the manufacturing supply chain and to connect people, knowledge and ideas and equip members of the packaging and processing industry to succeed in the global marketplace. This sometimes means sharing information collected in support of PACK EXPO with certain third-parties for purposes of successfully delivering the event to you. We share information we collect about you in the ways discussed below, including in connection with possible business opportunities.
Sharing Attendee Information with Exhibitors: PMMI endeavors to provide an exceptional experience for both its event exhibitors and attendees. Some of the ways in which we accomplish this is by providing detailed product information, product demonstrations, and connecting attendees with technical and sales representatives from exhibiting companies. In exchange for this in formation, contact and certain demographic information belonging to attendees will be shared with exhibitors with whom they meaningfully engage in one of the following ways:
- Scanning your attendee badge at an exhibiting company’s booth or educational session
- Adding an exhibiting company or educational session to your MyShowPlanner
- Initiating an email or otherwise making contact via the Online Contact form
- Scheduling an appointment with an exhibitor
- Favoriting exhibitor products, information, or demonstrations
The attendee maintains control at all times over how and with which exhibitors their information is shared as they must take one of the above proactive actions in order for sharing to occur. However, it is important for the attendee to understand that once that engagement has occurred, their information will be shared with the exhibitor. Further, an attendee may not be able to undo any sharing that has previously occurred, but may exercise their right to be forgotten by the exhibitor after sharing has occurred by contacting the exhibitor directly.
Sharing with official third parties: We share information with official third-party vendors that help PMMI operate, deliver, improve, integrate, customize, support and market PACK EXPO.
