Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Process and FAQ’s

Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination (Updated January 2022) – The City of Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) has instituted a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all venues serving food and beverages. Therefore, all participants of PACK EXPO East must provide proof of vaccination upon arrival to receive a show badge and access the show floor. Please note,  masks are required indoors in the City of Philadelphia regardless of vaccination status.

>
What defines proof of vaccination?

Proof of vaccination consists of the official CDC immunization card (physical or digital copy) or Phila Vax IIS Immunization record showing 2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Is a booster shot required?

Per the current Philadelphia Department of Public Health Guidelines, a booster shot is not required.

>
Where do I submit my proof of vaccination?

Proof of vaccination will be screened on site at PACK EXPO East in registration. Your vaccination card (physical or digital copy) and a photo ID will be required to pick up your badge on site and obtain entrance into the exhibit hall.

>
Can I provide a negative COVID-19 test if I am not vaccinated?

PACK EXPO attendees/exhibitors must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to obtain your badge and be admitted into the show. Attendees unable to provide this proof will not receive a PACK EXPO badge to access the show venue.

Note: The current mandate offers medical and religious exemptions. Attendees and exhibitors with medical or religious exemptions are required to present their exemption documentation AND proof of a negative COVID test (PCR or antigen) taken 24 hours prior to the entrance into the facility. See below for details.

>
Are there any exceptions to Philadelphia’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy?

Philadelphia’s Regulations requiring COVID-19 vaccination for indoor dining locations does not apply to unvaccinated customers with an exemption from their medical provider or sincerely held religious belief against vaccination which prevents them from receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.  Exemption documentation for medical or religious reasons AND proof of a negative COVID test (PCR or antigen) taken 24 hours prior to the entrance into the facility is required. Both documents must be presented at registration to obtain your badge and access the show floor.

>
Will convention center staff, labor, and Exhibitor Appointed Contractors be vaccinated?

The Pennsylvania Convention Center (PCC) established a policy requiring all PCC Workers be fully vaccinated effective October 1. So as a matter of policy and in practice, all PCC workers are fully vaccinated and screened daily for any symptoms.

Exhibitor Appointed Contractors are required to be vaccinated and will be screen upon entry and given a wristband for access to the show.

>
Are vaccinations required to enter the Reading Terminal Market?

Most vendors in the Reading Terminal Market are offering to-go food only at this time which does not require proof of vaccination. Select vendors are offering a dine-in option which requires proof of vaccination.

>
Do Philadelphia restaurants require proof of vaccination to dine-in?

Proof of vaccination is required to dine-in in the City of Philadelphia. Each restaurant has their own policy on to-go food or outdoor dining.

>
If this is a fully vaccinated event, are face coverings required?

>
